KidsLife does not choose the date of payout of Groeipakket or Startbedrag. The government decides when it can be deposited. These rules apply to every child benefit fund.

There are a lot of aspects that matter in the calculation and deposit of Groeipakket (Child Benefit in Flanders). Below you can find the calendar of payments of the Groeipakket in 2024:

When will Groeipakket be paid?
The general principle is that the Groeipakket will be deposited the 8th of every month. If the 8th occurs in the weekend, we pay your child benefit the last workday before the weekend.
Example:
Sunday, May 8, 2022 -> We deposit the child benefit Friday, May 6, 2022.
It is possible you receive your child benefit a little earlier. This depends on different aspects.
- In what region you live, Flanders, Wallonia or Brussels?
- Do you receive your child benefit via bank account or by cheque?
- Which bank are you associated with? The processing hours may differentiate with each bank
- Which month is it?
